Thank you for purchasing an OpenLab license. OpenLab is delivered by NORCE Research AS. Payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as the Merchant of Record and authorised reseller. This means you purchase via Paddle, and the product is licensed to you by NORCE.

Payment and refund processing

Paddle handles order fulfilment, invoicing, and where necessary, tax compliance and refund processing. Your purchase is governed by Paddle’s Invoiced Consumer Terms and Conditions, and any mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence.

Consumer right to cancel

If you are a consumer, you may have the right to cancel your purchase within 14 days (starting the day after the transaction is completed) without giving any reason, unless an exception applies. Paddle’s consumer cancellation process and timelines apply.

Exception for digital content / immediate access

Since OpenLab is supplied as digital content and is made available immediately, the consumer right to cancel may not apply once you have started to access, download, stream, or otherwise acquire the digital content, where you have consented to immediate performance and acknowledged you will lose the right of withdrawal once delivery begins.

Refunds for delivery or technical failure

If technical problems prevent or unreasonably delay delivery of OpenLab, your remedy may be replacement of the product/access or a refund of the price paid, as determined by Paddle under its terms.

Discretionary refunds and abuse

Outside any consumer cancellation rights and mandatory legal protections, refunds are provided at the sole discretion of Paddle on a case-by-case basis and may be refused. Paddle may refuse a refund request if there is evidence of fraud, refund abuse, or other manipulative behaviour.

OpenLab policy for business purchases and non-cancellable situations

Except where required by applicable law or Paddle’s terms, NORCE does not offer refunds for license purchases (including business purchases) merely due to change of mind, misunderstanding of the product offering, or compatibility/performance issues not caused by OpenLab.

If OpenLab is unavailable due to a verified technical issue on NORCE’s side and we are unable to resolve the issue within a reasonable timeframe after you notify us, we will work with Paddle to support an appropriate remedy (such as extended access, replacement, or where applicable, a refund processed by Paddle).
